The Calorimeter IC 210 is an isoperibol bomb calorimeter used to determine the gross calorific (energy) value of various solid and liquid samples.

How It Works

A weighed sample is placed in a metal crucible inside a high-pressure decomposition vessel (the “bomb”).
The vessel is pressurized with pure oxygen (around 30 bar) and the sample is electrically ignited.
The heat released from complete combustion raises the temperature of the surrounding water jacket.
Sensors measure the temperature change to accurately calculate the sample’s calorific value according to ISO and ASTM standards.
