TR-MP1721 Mechanical Surface/Interfacial Tension Meter is an instrument that uses physical methods for liquid surface/interface tension testing. It is easy to use and can quickly and accurately measure the surface and interfacial tension values of various liquids. In the petroleum, chemical, scientific research and other departments, the instrument has been widely used. It can clearly express the principle and process of surface tension testing by the ring method, adopts a purely mechanical structure, is durable and has relatively low cost, so it is especially suitable for colleges and universities’ laboratories and teaching use.
The TR-MP1721 mechanical surface /interface tension meter adopts a sophisticated mechanical structure. It is composed of torsion wire, platinum ring, sample holder, dial, Vernier pointer, bracket, lever frame, fine-tuning worm gear pair, test worm gear pair and sample holder. During operation, the torsion force is applied to the torsion wire through the rotation of the worm gear pair, and the surface tension of the platinum ring in contact with the liquid surface is balanced by the torsion force. When the torque of the torsion wire continues to increase and the surface of the liquid to be measured is broken, the twisting angle of the torsion wire, which is the value indicated by the cursor on the dial, is multiplied by the correction factor to obtain the measured surface/Interfacial tension value of the liquid.
This product implements JB/T9388-2002 “Technical Conditions of Interfacial Tension Meter”, ISO1409-1995 “Determination of Surface Tension of Plastics, Rubber, Polymer Dispersion and Latex”, SH/T 1156-95 “Surface Tension Measurement of Synthetic Latex” And other technical standards.
